Web Design Needed

National Academic Quiz Tournaments (NAQT) is looking to hire a designer to revamp their current website ([[url removed, login to view]][1]) to make it both more professional and navigable. The management has few pre-conceived notions of what the design should be, but it's safe to say that they generally favor less-is-more designs and prefer light-weight HTML to flash. The preference for HTML is driven primarily by the company's need to integrate its existing Java/JSP codebase with the new design. Lastly, please be aware that due to the nature of the organization, we are a group of *very* pedantic individuals and might be difficult to work with.

NAQT is an organization that is akin to the NFL or NBA, but for trivia competitions. The company currently provides a competitive framework and questions for thousands of high schools and hundreds of colleges across the US as well as actively run a ninety-six team national championship tournament. The organization was founded since 1996 and has a handful of full-time employees and fifty contract question writers. Interestingly, NAQT has counted Ken Jennings and Kevin Olmstead, two of the most prolific game show winners on the planet, as management since the late 1990's.
