Introduction
We have a requirement in South Africa for the Design and development of a site and logo for a RC Racetrack, the site will need to be fully dynamic and allow end users as well as Racetrack staff to do changes. Racetrack staff will need to be able to load results of races as well as manage registrations for races as well as race and club members. In the future the site may need to be able to do Online Credit Card or Pay pal Payments. This is a first draft of the requirements and therefore may not be 100% complete. Possible providers need to understand that there may be slight modifications and additional requirements for the system.
Background
RC racing is a form of remote control car racing, racetracks hold meetings where people race there cars in numerous formats in order to get points and win. Normally people race for a club, regional and national event.
Payment Structure..
The selected provider will need to develop the intended functionality for the site, as well as the design of the site.
We will make 3 escrow payments.
20% when the provider is selected, so that a Proof of concept can be created, this will be images displaying the Idea and flow of how the site will look, including the logo.
Once we have come to an agreement on the design, another 50% escrow will be paid.. this will be for development of the proposed solution.
Once the development is uploaded and functional the remaining balance(30%) will be paid.
Business Requirements.
In order for the site to function correctly there will be 2 different sets of users for the site.
Namely :-
End users, these users are racers: people that log in to the site to get information about the track. Signup membership and book to race on race days. They will need to be able to view there results from the race day as well as upload images and content for news. Users will need to be able to manage there garage , which is a store of information on which RC cars they have as well as there Transponder numbers.
Users will need to be able to register for events that loaded on the system by racetrack staff.
Race Track Staff, these users need to be able to login to the system to upload news and information about the track. Load race results in a easy and timely manner hopefully immediately via an extract of csv or html from the timing system. Create race days, as well as manage registrations and racetrack memberships.
The system will need to be able to carry information about users, track , races and championships. As people race on the track and win there points will be accumulated towards a championship.
The front end pages need to make provision for possible banners so that sponsors can advertise on the page.
