Biology ASSIGNMENT- building a phylogenetic tree: needed in 9 hours
collect information from the following organisms below and build a phylogenetic tree showing the evolutionary relationship between these animals and fossils. (use a table to collect information on each organism):
Living animals: -sloth -chimpanzee -kangaroo -crocodile -frilled neck lizard -cockatoo -snake -frog -human -butterfly
Fossils: -Australopithecus afarensis (Lucy) -plesiosaur -Yanoconodon allini -Archaeopteryx -Darwinius masillae (Ida)
(note: I have already collected some information in a half complete table and would be preferable if those traits could be used to build the phylogenetic tree) Also, the fossils should be at the start of the tree. attached is the start of the table.
