Product Catalog Search and Result Pages

Project Description: Create [url removed, login to view] web page to search products and show results in a provided Telerik RadGrid component format see more info on RadGrid ([url removed, login to view]). The provided grid component will allow the user to drill to the size level of the product. The user will then be able view more detail of the product by selecting it, at which point another page will appear with more detailed information.

The actual MS SQL tables for retrieving the data will be provided: Product, Image, etc. Additionally, there are several "linking" or "mapping" tables that will be included to allow for the many-to-many relationships.

Master Page and CSS: Guru will be provided with a master page and css. The guru will be required to use the master page and the elements in the css where applicable. The guru will add appropriate styles when not included in the css.

Project Planning - The guru will review the requirements for this web-based page(s) design and prepare questions for the project manager. They will then meet with the project manager for questions, concerns, page design, and database design. The guru will then create a project agreement that will address "Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How" and include page layout(s) in the form of a sketch or computer generated layout. The guru will send the agreement to the project manager for review and approval.

Project Development - The guru will then design the page layout on our test system, apply logic/code to complete the page/module and its functionality, test logic and functionality, and then correct coding errors as a result of testing. The guru will then review the logic/code, page layout, and functionality with the project manager and make changes as a result of review with the project manager. Further tweaking or issues regarding the logic/code, page layout, and functionality may require additional collaboration with the project manager.

Project Documentation - The guru will comment the code sufficiently for others to decipher. The guru will also create "draft" user documentation sufficient for users to use the newly create page(s) proficiently. Final formatting, etc. will be performed by the project manager.

Project Final Review and Approval - The guru will provide the final design, coding/logic, functionality, and documentation to the project manager for review and approval.

Applicable Notes: Create this page(s) in ASP.NET web page using C# code. The database name you are to use is "ERP". Collaboration during this project with the project manager will be by means of WebEx sessions (provided by the project manager), email, video (MSN messenger or AIM messenger), and/or phone. Experience with Telerik controls will be a plus, but not required.
