User Web Portal for Upload /Management and distribution of advertising media.

Overview

I wish to centralise and distribute advertising images and videos for display on HDTVs and mobile devices.

I hence need a User Area for uploading and targeting of media files.

User management system currently used is :- [login to view URL] linking to a mysql db. Integration with this would be desirable but other user management systems will be considered.

Key Features.

Multi-Language

Image/Video Upload with replace and delete options. Ensure resolution is 1080p(HD) for images and format is jpg, videos should be avi or mp4.

Media catalogued into mysql table and filed as [VI]$userid_NNN$ln.$ext under a web accessible url folder, where V=Video I=Image $userid=mysql UserID NNN=[login to view URL] $ln=language code and $ext=relevant file extension.

Collect and Store details about advert with options to upload same advert in multiple languages as well as have a mobile friendly version (maybe using larger fonts).

If the advert is just a single image it will default to be for dual purpose (HDTV and Mobile) but check boxes/radio buttons should exist to log it as HDTV only or mobile device only.

Data to be collected includes title, text description (in multiple languages), tag lines for advert overlay. (eg. "Last Few Remaining" etc), weburl link to advertiser, quantity available, advert run start/end date and times, min and max seconds to display for. Expiry Date, Validity periods eg. specific dates, days of weeks, time ranges. Eg. I would be able to automate display of an advert only shown during December advertising New Years Eve Party, or on Tuesday nights show a breakfast promotion for Wednesday etc.

Advert Targeting Campaign Management

A logged in user should be able to select target audience for each advert. There are three Groups of Users 1=Advertising Location Owner, 2=Consumer, 3=Advertiser.

Type 1 user targeting default should be any locations he owns as determined via another mysql table 'locations'.

Type 1 and Type 3 Users additional targeting could be by specific language, age range, sex, business type, specific locations or specific latitude/longitude ranges, eg 30 miles radius on central London. Each location record has its lat/long stored for this purpose.

These marketable attributes will be under Type 2 Users - Consumers.

When a list of suitable advertising locations has been found the owners of those locations should be emailed with links to the proposed adverts for run approval. This should be in the form of a confirmation link, that then logs the advert as approved by locationID triggering collection and use. (NOT PART OF THIS PROJECT)

Presentation

I would like a responsive website design, where each step of the process is as simple and clear as possible, using thumbnails of images for clarity where appropriate.

A little about me :-

I am also a computer programmer/ business analyst with a good working knowledge of most of the technologies you will be using to complete this project. I get fed up of people telling me things can´t be done or you´ll have to do it another way because they have not properly read or understood my specification and realise that it will take more time than they expected. I don't mind if you can take someone else's project as a starting point and customise it for me, just don´t pass it off as your own work and then be unable to modify it to my requirements. For example I know that the [login to view URL] system is a good starting point for my requirements.

Please don´t reply to this job with a standard "....I have fully understood your job, when can I start?" - I expect some probing questions that will indicate to me that you have actually thought about it.

Having said all of the above I am fair and reasonable if you know what you are talking about and open to suggestions if you think of a better way of doing something :-) Happy bidding !!
