Javascript gallery improvement

I need someone to modify the javascript on this page:

I have modified the page so more thumbnails can be added to the bottom in the horizontal java scroll but I can't work out how to extend what is visible in the scroll.
What I would like changed:
1 - Remove the bottom slide scroll
2 - Replace it with a Left & Right arrow button to the left & right of the thumbnails at the bottom so visitors to the webpage can scroll left & right via the buttons instead of the slide scroll currently on the page.
3 - Create it in a way that more thumbnails can be easily added without being hidden when added (that is the way it is currently set up & I don't want that). How it is currently set up is if I add more thumbnails they are not visible - I DON'T WANT THAT! I want the bottom left & right button scroll to show all the new thumbnails I add.
4 - With the extra thumbnails I add they MUST have the current functionality - if a visitor clicks on a thumbnail then the relevant information is shown above. (as it currently works - the same functionality must remain).
5 - Instructions on how to add new thumbnails & content to that page.
I know this is not a big job. I just need you to create the functionality, & I'll add the correct content.
I can provide the source files via FTP.
I have attached a Before & After picture showing what the page originally looked like. You can see via the link what I have done to that page. In the image attached you can also see how I want it to look.
