Project Details

Using what you learned in the working with Strings presentation create the following Cobol application

Using a customer list comma delimited file read in the file records and fields of data and create an output LPT report file formatted like the example below.

Remember when working with files you have to perform Setup, Open, Read, End-Read, and Close them too

Make sure to define the WORKING-STORAGE SECTION fields for reading and writing files

I put the file in the Linux temp area \tmp\cobol\Customerscsv if you want to copy it to your area

Notice there is a space between the tilde ~ character.

The tilde character means to select your home area on the Linux system.

$ cp /tmp/cobol/[login to view URL] ~/lab6/
