We need a skilled mobile app developer to create a crossplattform app (iOS and Android – target iOS 7 and later and Android 4.1 and later).
Purpose of the app will be to keep track and make notes for different „items“ (detailed description will be provided to suitable candidates). You should be able to mark „items“ as viewed and add personal notes based on each „item“. These notes should be viewable and selectable in a list after clicking on 1 item. It should be possible to select between 4 to 6 different „note types“.
„Items“ are placed in categories and subcategories. For example „category 1“ contains 5 subcategories and each subcategory contains a certain amount of „items“ (there will be a detailed list with all categories, subcategories and items).
Once an item has a note attached it should be visible on the item itself, as well as on the subcategory and category.
As a second part of the app You should be able to create note documents (similar to „S Note“ on Android or other standard note taking apps) and link those to 1 or more of the „items“ mentioned above. Also You must be able to create a folder structure to place and store the note documents. All note documents should of course be editable, updatable and deletable. It should also be possible to delete or change the linked „items“ and as a „nice-to-have“ be exportable as pdf-file.
Suitable candidates must have good knowledge in developing mobile apps that handle a great amount of database transactions. In total the „items“ that this app will contain are over 30.000.
We will prefer candidates that have prior experience in similar apps and also let us know if You have knowledge with some open source libraries usefull to complete this app. We strongly consider to implement the Samsung SPen-Library to take notes with SPen on various Samsung devices.
The possibility to make this app multilanguage should be given by providing us the ressource files with text strings.
Please let us know the development tools You use (for example Eclipse or Android Studio for Android). Android and iOS design guidelines should be well known and considered. Also different screen sizes and layouts should be considered in designing the app.
All design (should be modern flat ui) and development will be done by candidate and source code or entire projects should be made available after completing the project.
