I need a complex web tracking website built similar to www dot statcounter dot com.
We can build it in any language you want (PHP, ASP, ASP.NET ) using MySQL or Ms SQL. I prefer it product is delivered with SQL Express 2005 and written in C#. I am a system developer and spend most time on C# and MsSQL so I would prefer to see it made using mentioned tools.
The site will be set up as a sub domain to one of my sites and will be a free service for the web masters that will use the service. I will show ads in stat pages and if a customer exceeds 5000 hits a day I will charge them a small fee each month or ask them to remove code from their pages. So the site will need some mechanism for telling the web master that site exceeds the limit of free service and that it will no longer collect data from their site.
The statistics will use graphs and be user-friendly with usability engineering in mind.
The site will collect data from client site using script added to their pages by webmaster that runs client site.
The pages should be editable in the page itself (info pages, welcome page and so on by web master only) when logged on.
Speed is important. So knowledge about caching and other techniques for making a site quick is important.
I will give priority to providers that will document solution using UML, using XML to comment code (Visual Studio) and if possible use Nunit to test code. The site will be tested using Ants load from red gate dot com. The database should be designed with performance in mind.
