Convert old game into a working java phone game

We are looking for a coder to convert an older 'small' game , which was written for the Sinclair Spectrum 8 bit computer , and then re-written to make it smaller it fit a mobile phone , and the keys / controls have been changed also for use on a mobile phone , so basically the game is done , but needs to be converted into a java format which will be able to be used on a mobile phone. The game is in a .TAP format , hundreds of free examples of which can be downloaded for free on [[login to view URL]][1] , plus emulators to run them , so you can see the general format of these type of games , the specific game we have , has been made much smaller still in memory size to fit a phone. There would also be ongoing work for the coder , as we have a lot of games lined up which need converting , please base your quote with that in mind. We need someone who

a) can actually do it , not tell me they can and then spend months not delivering , just excuses

b) wants an ungoing work relationship with us , and is prepared to do the work for a sensible price , as we are a small company , and cannot and will not accept stupid silly bids

c) can deliver this game and other future ones in a reasonable time frame (ref point a !)

d) knows enough about java and coding in general to take on other more complicated C+ games in the future for conversion into the java phone environment - but that is not essential for this project , but more so for the longer term.

The game we have you dont need to see as such to bid , take a look at the site above for hundreds of examples of the types of games , having said that this one is quite simple as a starting game so if you could do ones off that site you will easy be able to do this one.

## Deliverables

There has been a lot of interest in this project - so adding this note to the bottom of it - we currently have around 90 games to convert , so you can see this is a bog long term project , hence why we are looking for sensible costs , as not all the games will sell well or at all , and some may lose money , so costs have to sensible. Because we have so many , and various people are suggesting various metods of doing this project , we MAY pick more than one coder to try different methods out on different games , the best method when then be used in the long term , more than one coder might be retained for this future work no matter which method used. PLUS as well as these phone conversions we are also looking to do conversions onto os palm and pocket windows as well. The number of games WILL increase into the several hundred figure over the coming months , as well. PLUS we have all new modern games to be created for phones and other mobile formats using our all new 3D code egine which is being created at the moment , so keep this all in mind when quoting ! 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
