What I need is more of a process design and implementation as opposed to a simple script or graphic creation I run a video blogging website that records Video directly from my user's web cams in a blog/ post format. We would like to add an option for our users to upload their own pre recorded video instead of only having the option of web Cam recording. the video must be converted to flash. the file formats to be encoded are · Avi · Mov · Wmv · mpeg we would require A config file so that we can adjust the encoding settings. this will have to be simple for the user - just upload and go. we have explored the following processes and possibilities and we are looking for a developer who car either implement one of these options or suggest and implement another method- perhaps there is something we have not thought of: 1. design of a Browser plug in that would allow the user to convert existing Video to flash format on their machine and then upload- please see [url removed, login to view] 2. design of an application that runs server side that would trans code the video file as soon as the file was uploaded. This would also require supporting PHP files to move the completed / converted file to a users folder or the server. the Conversion could take place on the well server or could require the use of another internet connected machine for instance - the file could be uploaded to the web server and then moved to A conversion machine and then Moved back to the User's folder on the web server when the conversion is Complete Some links of interest: [url removed, login to view] [url removed, login to view]~cat/album/ [url removed, login to view] this entire project will have to be complete and working in 10 days.
