Web-based Jabber Client

I'd like a nice yet simple jabber client which would run inside of a web page. AJAX seems appropriate here. We need a little draggable window for buddy lists and another for actual chats. The draggable chat window should have "tabs" for each contact you might be chatting with. And potentially a third window to handle MUC but open to suggestions here. Ideally this application would talk directly to the jabber server but if a small "gateway" is needed on a webserver, it will be running on a Unix box with either apache or lighttpd as the webserver. Ruby would be preferred for this layer if needed but PHP, Perl, etc. would be acceptable. The login and jabber conversations will occur in an SSL environment, in case this causes concern.

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).

## Platform

The client needs to run in at least MSIE6 and Firefox 1.5 but earlier versions would be nice. If a small backend process is required, it will be on a unix system and any scripting language will do.
