PHP wordpress script modification

What I need or require:

I have a PHP script I need modified for use on a wordpress blog. The script is designed to? take variables placed at the end of the url and place them in several indicated spots in the text of the blog. Other then knowledge of PHP, knowledge of how mod_rewrite works would help a lot. Familiarity with wordpress may help but is probably less essential. More details of the modifications? along with the current script will be provided.

currently the script only modifies one variable, I need it to modify more then one.

there is a default for variable words when I do not enter a variable in the url it has something to revert back to. right now its only a "default" I need it to be the value of the string. Meaning if I want "banana" to be replaced by a varible(apple) in the url i place something around it, in this case(_banana_) to notify the program,BUT if I do not place a variable in the url "_banana_" becomes "default", I need _banana_ to become banana if I do not enter a variable in the url.

There are certain areas the variables are to be inserted that do not work (catagories) and some that are not yet included but I would like them to be (comments). Currently I use the DISQUS comment system plugin for wordpress? but I could easily change that is it is a problem.

? I need the variables placed in the url to be appended to the end of all links so that navigation by a user does not produce incontinuity in the site.

I need the url to be rewritten or masked and still include my variables. This is probably the only part of the project I don't know about and was the only reason I mention apache mod_rewrite as a possible solution.

Basically what I want though is to have the URL be resolved without alot of tell tale signs of a dynamic webpage such [url removed, login to view]?t= etc... I know you can do this somewhat in wordpress by changing the link structure but I need to include the variables as well.
