Python nodejs developer for API and dashboard project

Project: Extract real time status data from a system via API and build and display the data on a dashboard. Languages to be used: Python and Nodejs.
70% of the code has been built but will have to be optimized. Code is in Python (needs to be upgraded to Py 3) and the framework is Flask.
Further code details:
Fetch results using a py script
Store data in a json file
Render the results to HTML Dashbaord
Utilize a different py script to perform certain actions i.e mainly API requests.
Determine if a DB is needed
I will provide precise details on how to set up and access a lab environment (which mirrors prod) that you will use to develop and test the code as access to the actual system is not possible.
