I’m currently working on a personal project which involves developing a social web application that incorporates a 2-coin flipping game for users to play with each other (much like the traditional Australian “Two Up” game).

Requirements:

• I need a 3D animation that starts by showing a distance perspective of a flat ground texture (pavement, concrete, or rock) with a painted circle (any colour that stands out) and a person standing off-centre inside the circle.

• The animation should then zoom in closer to the person showing him holding a flat rectangular paddle (“kip”) with two pennies (both coins tail-side up).

• The person should then proceed to flip the coins, with the animation then zooming out enough to show the two coins flipping into the air above the person and then landing on the ground, bouncing around a little, before finally coming to rest reasonably close to one another, inside the circle, and in front of the person.

o NOTE: the coins should visibly appear to flip quickly in the air and not in synchronisation with each other, so as to give the appearance of randomness.

• The animation should finally proceed to zoom back in to show the two coins (result of the flip).

Flipping the two coins should be able to end with one of the four following outcomes:

1. Heads on the left, Tails on the right

2. Tails on the left, Heads on the right

3. Both Heads

4. Both Tails

NOTES:

• Animation should be in GIF or other format that is cross-platform compatible and plays on all modern web browsers without the need for user/security permissions.

• I’m thinking the simplest implementation of four different outcomes will be four GIF files.

• The animation should be no longer than 25 seconds and no shorter than 10 seconds.

• The “Tails” side of the two coins should be painted with a white cross.

• Background should be white. The texture of the ground, painted circle, person, paddle, and two coins are left to your creative imagination (aside from previous mentioned requirements).

• The coins should resemble the Australian Penny.

• Google Image: “australian two up” to see some example images to assist.

• The simulated person performing the coin flip does not need to be detailed and can be ‘gender-neutral’.

• The animated image must be capable of being resized to fit desktop computer screens and modern smart mobile devices – with image quality reasonably maintained. Maximum size of animation would be displayed at 500x400 pixels (on Desktops).

• Individual file size of each of the 4 animations should not be more than 1 MB.

• I will require license to use your animation on one single website domain.
