Fast Ruby Screen Capture Code Needed Under Windows

I require code for Ruby that will allow me to take the screen on a windows system and convert a screenshot of the screen into an array of pixel colour values for each pixel on the screen - This code needs to be able to transfer the whole screen (1920x1200 res) into an array of values (1,2,14,123,5...) for each pixel within about 100ms. I have a fast computer so this should be possible but I have code at the moment that takes about 2-2.5 seconds and I dont know how to get something faster working.

I will pay for ruby code that will provide the needed functionality so that I can have a function within ruby on my machine that allows me to retrieve this array that I require so that I can work with the array.

This shouldnt be to difficult for an experianced ruby programmer and I think 50$ is a generous budget for something that will only take a few hours max to implement.
