I have a VB6 Script application that no longer ends. It basically takes a daily downloaded CSV file, dumps it into MySQL and then quickly updates a database with the values from the dumped CSV. This file use to have 400,000 entries and ran fine. Now that it is 600,000+ it doesn't stop unless I end it.

The project is to convert a very large VB6 application from using ODBC to using REST APIs. Application consists of hundreds of VB forms so this project is expected to go for 2 years. The proof of concept scope is to develop the initial LOGIN mechanism and display the main form of the application. The application main form is similar to a CRM in function.
