I'm looking for someone to package the latest version of pmacctd (1.7.2) into a working, fully tested CentOS 6 compatible RPM. You will produce a SPEC file that allows the following command to build a fully-working binary RPM: rpmbuild -bb --clean <path_to_spec_file> Access to a working CentOS 6 box can be provided if needed, however bids from those who have their own development environment will be preferred.

I need somebody to create an installable RPM using rpmbuild for a slightly modified version of FreeSWITCH (I'll provide the source code, we just changed a bunch of the configuration files). The RPM should be able to be installed using the standard rpm -i command on a completely separate machine that will not have all of the dev tools. This RPM needs to be built for CentOS 6.4 x86_64, I'll also provide root SSH access to the server, although the rpm should NOT be built under the root account. As is standard for building rpms using rpmbuild. I'll need a copy of the RPM to test installation on another server, and steps done to create the RPM so we can re-build newer versions in the future if we change some of the confugiration files.

I need to be able to make an rpm to install the latest qt (~4.8) into /opt. I can compile and install it on my own, but I need an rpm so I can install it on several machines. The project is to w...a spec file that will do this on scientific linux (RHEL). So the target installation path is /opt/qt-4.8. The reason for opt is that scientific linux comes with a qt, but I want my own. This should be a pretty simple project, but I need it to be professionally done, well commented, and robust. I will also need detailed instructions on how to create the rpm (although it should be a single rpmbuild statement). If this project goes well, I have other packages that I need the same work for, as well as maybe help with setting up a yum server. So someone with good rpm building experien...

Hello everyone, I am trying to install heartbeat via rpm/rpmbuild and I am having an unusual problem. I am running Fedora 7 on this box and this is the steps that I am taking: 1. downloading the software "heartbeat-2.0.8-1.fc7.src.rpm" into directory "/usr/src/redhat/SRPMS/" 2. I am unpacking the source rpm file using the command "rpm -i /usr/src/redhat/SRPMS/heartbeat-2.0.8-1.fc7.src.rpm" This creates an spec file "/usr/src/redhat/SPECS/heartbeat.spec" in addition to couple of patch file and the tarball under the folder "/usr/src/redhat/SOURCES/" 3. I install the software by running the following command, "rpmbuild -ba /usr/src/redhat/SPECS/heartbeat.spec" Once the above command is issued, it ap...

The goal of this project is to create a GUI, using C++/Qt4, that presents the (un-)install process of .rpm files using the 'rpm' program, which is ...interpreter (using the -p argument in the SPEC file). To take advantage of this, the application should be delivered with a python interpreter for each platform that it runs on. To be able to use a script interpreter with the rpm executable, the interpreter needs to be included in the rpm database (because RPMs that use a custom script interpreter automatically get a Requires: line when built with rpmbuild). This can be achieved by creating a virtual package for the python interpreter delivered with the application, and installing this virtual package immediately after the database is first initialised (with --initdb, as...
