I have the SQL Server database with the domains (which can be exported to other formats, if needed). You can use ASP.NET, classic ASP, vbscript, or any other Microsoft technology. It can be a web solution. The list of domains is 75.000 long (75.000 domains to be checked). I can leave the software running for this task. Performance is not an issue. I need to record, for each domain, the respective response code on this database.
We took over the VMware server. The VM is 1.7 TB the hard drive is 2 TB. The VM only need to be 700GIG. Then we will have room to use VEEAM which needs sufficient space to take a Snapshot. There is no backup of the VM so we are concerned of doing the decrease without running the server. There is only one hard drive on the VM . The VM is Windows Server 2016. Be prepared that you are very confident in knowing if the VM can be decreased safely. As a precautiion we want the VM downloaded. Turning off the Server will only be able to be done from 5pm Eastern to 7AM eastern. Friday to Sunday the client is not in the office. After the VM decrease is done we need the engineer to stay on to make sure the VEEAM is running.

We needed to increase the Datastore we ran out of space. We installed a hard drive from Dell SAS . We see the drive we tried to format and add to datastore not working. If I give static ip it connects to internet but cant be accessed in local network. I have a sql program which needs to run off this vm so need this vm to be accessible to all pc on network.
