Simple App Code Cleanup for Pocket PC in .Net

I am a VB6 programmer. I am just finishing a large application for my retail store written in VB6, but need a small program to run on a Pocket PC 2003 handheld computer.

I wrote an almost fully functional but very slow, rather sloppy application in .Net 2003 that works, but I would like an experienced .Net programmer to clean up my code to be more efficient. It is a very small application with only 3 or 4 screens. You have the option of using my program as an example and rewriting the code from scratch (as long as it functions the same) or just cleaning my code up.

One big problem is the way I am using my connection. Since I couldn't figure out how to share the connection, this is very slow. The server communication needs to be cleaned up. I also need the Retrieve button on the main screen to be set as the default, so once the SKU field is populated and the enter key is pressed, the code ehind the retrieve button fires. The clear button should be the default for the escape key.

Pressing tab is not moving from one field to the next, and should, especially on the quantity update screen. I also have some other small bugs like these. Please look at the application and ask me questions. I will work with you to give more specifioc details as we move forward, but the program does work, it is just a little clunky. Basically you are just cleaning the code up.

Two new features, a simple number pad shoudl pop up and accept entry when the user clicks the numpad key on the main screen. That number pad should be available from any screen so they can easily touch screen the quantities. Also, I need some way to specify the server name and login information without hard coding it now. It can be part of the installer or a text file - you can suggest a solution.

Windows Mobile/Pocket PC 2003 - written in .Net 2003, not eVB.

I can provide a copy of the SQL Server tables / MSDE Database to the programmer once I have accepted a bid. The database tables you will be updating are very simple and the attached code works, it is just slow and sloppy.
