Description of a MIDI Violin: • 4 channel DSP real time audio acquisition & processing system which estimates the violin pitch and transmits it as MIDI signals in real time. • The frequency estimation is done using the Chirp Z Transform algorithm, which provides 1/10 semitone frequency resolution, close to the human ear perception. • Board with TMS320VC33 which contains a 4 channel ADC, 2x24 LCD and a Push Buttons matrix controller, working as a real time embedded system.
