I had quite a while working on trade projects between Vietnam and the U.S. And now I would like to become a freelancer to provide product/factory sourcing and trade consultancy services for the Vietnam market. With the trade conflicts between the US and China these years under Trump's administration (which are not gonna go away soon), and with the dramatic increase in labour cost, serious environmental issues.... in China, China becomes less potential to be a long term and steady trade partner. There are many factories are moving to Vietnam and more and more products are sourcing from Vietnam which is considered with a reliable country of origin. I think you are keeping an eye on Vietnam and would like to establish a sourcing agent and market entry advice, hand on hand services from import of materials into to export products out of Vietnam. I would like to be your sourcing agent and trade consultant on any type of product from Vietnam. I had 3 years working with a U.S owned trade consultant firm with quite a few projects between the US and Vietnam and other 6 years working in import procurement, logistics and shipping field. I tooks responsibilities for key new business development projects involving management of imports for processing for export of American ginseng that is processed and packaged in Vietnam for export to China, for distribution via e-commerce channels. I have also played a key role with an SME development project involving a new B2B projected supported by the Asian Development Bank in Vietnam. From 2018-2019, I involved as Project Manager for an international technical assistance program for Vietnam provided by the Global Alliance for Trade Facilitation, involving work with numerous Vietnamese government ministries and agencies in Ha Noi that regulate imports and exports in Vietnam. This program also involves working with private sector business associations and enterprises in Vietnam, in a public consultations program. The Global Alliance consists of the World Economic Forum, the International Chamber of Commerce and, the Center for International Private Enterprise and is supported by the governments of Australia, Canada, Germany, the U.K. and the U.S. It provides the Government of Vietnam with technical assistance in implementing commitments of the WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement. At the moment, I am doing Procurement and Logistics for a major solar energy contractor coming from Malaysia. If you are interested in developing services with Vietnam, please let me know.
