My name is Mikayla Bertrand! A little about myself: I have a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and have been working in the cosmetic industry for several years in the R&D department as a Formulation Chemist. My expertise includes leave-on products, such as lotions, creams, and serums, and rinse-off products, such as shampoos, conditioners, and body washes. I am also experienced with the full process of product development, from when the product begins as a set of ideas, to formulation development, testing, procuring packaging, performing pilot scale batches, all the way up to full-scale manufacturing and filling. My personal company, MB Consulting, LLC, is built around my expertise in the cosmetic industry. With every client, my goal is to develop a customized plan that will bring success to both the project and the overall brand, with main objectives ranging from sourcing raw materials all the way to developing a cosmetic product to bring to market. My facilities include a small-scale lab, with the ability to create prototypes for the product development process. If your needs go beyond this, however, I am happy to assist with and oversee the scale-up process at an external facility, as well.
