Writing: As a professional writer, I have years of experience with PR, Marketing, Business, Feature, and Creative writing. I am also an excellent editor, copywriter (both colour and technical) and content developer. Design: Every designer has their own unqiue flavour. My approach is always a clean sensibility with a view to being eye-catching and getting the message across as clearly and memorably as possible. Samples available on request. Web: Take a degreed (Bachelor of Public Relations) marketing communications professional, add in a year of intense study of human psychology, and then turn her loose on web tech. The countless development and design projects I've either implemented or overseen in the last ten years have all been first informed by solid, advanced understanding of marketing and communications objectives. Countless clients have hired me as a web "designer" only to find themselves with the value-add of a communications consultant who was able to assist them in first developing their online strategy. Programming: Web building accidentally led to acquiring skills as a web application developer, working in ASP. Programming is a joy, and I love the lack of subjectivity (it either works, or it doesn't). I've built and/or managed development of a wide variety of projects. As large as a massive application to manage the inshore shrimp fishery in Newfoundland, to something as small as an intranet directory services application for the Department of Justice in Nova Scotia. While limited to ASP in my own coding skills, my general knowledge of the architecture and methodology of programming and databases, makes me a highly skilled project manager of technology projects. My professionalism, excellent communications skills and ability to relate to the needs and objectives of both client and developer is unique and extraordinary.
