1. Introduction I'm looking for a skilled and experienced architect/architectural firm to design a 2-story community centre /clubhouse with a focus on recreation and leisure activities. The proposed facility will cater to a diverse range of functions and must be designed with flexibility, sustainability, and community needs in mind. 2. Project Overview The new community centre/clubhouse will be located in a residential estate in Cameroon. The facility will serve as a central gathering place for residents, providing spaces for recreational activities, meetings, and social events. The total area available for the project is 3119m2. 3. Objectives - Create a multifunctional space that can accommodate a variety of community activities. - Design a sustainable and energy-efficient building. - Ensure accessibility and inclusivity for all community members. - Provide innovative design solutions that enhance the user experience. 4. Scope of Work The architectural firm will be responsible for: - Conceptual design and preliminary plans. - Detailed architectural drawings and specifications. - Structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design. - Landscape design. - Cost estimation and budgeting. - Incorporation of sustainable and green building practices. 5. Design Requirements - Main Hall: A large, flexible space for events, performances, and gatherings. - Other Room(s) or Space(s): 1 or 2 small rooms for meetings. - Recreation Area: Indoor recreational facilities such as a gymnasium, spa & sauna, indoor play area. - Office Space: Administrative office(s) for staff and community services + storage/supplies area/room. - Kitchen/Cafe: A small kitchenette/cafe area for community events and socializing. - Outdoor Spaces: Gardens, playgrounds, and outdoor seating areas, tennis court, fire pit, grill/barbecue area, large swimming pool. Ideal Skills: - Strong background in architectural design for recreational facilities - Experience with modern, eco-friendly architectural styles - Understanding of space planning for recreational spaces - Familiarity with designing both interior and exterior recreational areas - Proficient in CAD software or similar for creating detailed plans. - Excellent communication skills to understand and implement my vision for the space.
