I am writing to express my interest in the vacant post; Senior BIM Modeler/Engineer. I am looking to progress in BIM Modelling and BIM Implementation, and I feel that this position will allow for that to happen. I have over eight years of experience as a Revit Modeler/BIM Engineer. I have gained valuable experience in developing models from Level of Detail (LOD) 300 to data rich, handover models with LOD 500. I have extensive knowledge and expertise in numerous BIM modelling software including AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, & Rhino. Working efficiently is a major asset of mine and through creating and using various scripts via plugins like Dynamo, Python, and Grasshopper - Lunchbox I can achieve this. Clash detection through visualization and programs such as Navisworks allow for me to place QAQC checks on both mine and my colleagues work against other interfacing disciplines. Through modelling efficiently and by using scripts as mentioned, drawing production including Site Plans, Shop Drawings, and As Built Drawings has been increased.
