About Us AiMeS is a commercial spin-out from the University of Liverpool with the objective of providing utility and grid computing facilities to Small-to-Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs) within the North-West of England. We identify outsourcing as a key component and are looking to develop good working relationships with quality organisations and individuals. Further details can be viewed @ [login to view URL] Projects Overview AiMeS is currently involved in a number of projects that involve mathematical optimisation. A number of these projects fall within the Vehicle Routing with Time Windows (VRPTW) classification of problem. Whilst finding solutions (not optimality) for each project is ideal it is intended to eventually develop software components that can be readily re-used for subsequent projects. More details of the exact nature of all the projects will be given to the potential candidates. AiMeS has access to parallel computational facilities and expertise and it is possibly envisaged that any solutions will be developed within a parallel computing environment. About You You are either an individual or organisation with vast experience in the realm of mathematical optimisation and in particular optimisation techniques applicable to Vehicle Routing Problems, having either developed software from scratch or using commercially available software. Your skill sets may include one or more of the following • Mathematical Optimisation Techniques • Constraint Based Programming Techniques • Graph Theory • Branch and Bound Algorithms • Branch and Cut Algorithms • VRP Heuristics and Meta-heuristics Please make initial contact providing indication of the experience in the relevant areas with references where possible. In return AiMeS will provide full documentation to the suitable candidates. This is an opportunity for the right candidate to provide flair an innovation whilst developing reliable solutions. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows? (depending on the nature? of the deliverables): a)? For web sites or? other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software? installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
