Hello! I'm seeking to commision a visual artist to paint a large canvas, around 5 feet wide and 4 feet tall. The painting is a gift for someone who is in love with a specific shade of blue which occurs in the night sky just at the end of twilight, and I would love to attempt the capture of that fleeting moment. I'm searching for an artist who's portfolio reflects this type of work and colour blending, and as well I'm hoping for the painting to be dominated by a very particular shade of blue, which I would do my absolute best to communicate faithfully. The painting depicts several shades of dark blue, with hints of a lighter hue at the top, and darker at the bottom. The effect is abstract, but suggests the night sky just before twilight ends. The painting is a study of colour, something in the vein of Rothko, which powerfully emphasises the large-scale beauty of the colour. Deadline would be late December of this year
