This project is for a python script or linux excecutable that can determine the likelihood that a given .wav file contains the soundbyte provided in another reference .wav file. These sound bytes are recordings, so there will never be an exact match because the sound files will have a little bit of noise and variance in them, but the matches will be very similar.
The script or executable should take two arguments in the form of .wav files. The first .wav file will be the soundbyte to look for, the second .wav file will be the sound byte to look in.
I would like the script or executable to return how much of the soundbyte was found and an indicator of confidence in the match.
This executable should run on Redhat EL 5 and CentOS. It would be best if it was written in Python, but not absolutely essential. Libraries for this probably already exist and should be utilized.
Below are example sound bytes to use. Their file names indicate their purpose:

Only recently started bidding on projects here.
Recent background on projects I have done is processing of 3D ultrasonic data for real time visualization. This included searching for signal patterns.. So this should be a relatively simple project. Testing and tweaking will take up most of the time.
