Write a small C / C++ app just to open various file types.

I'm looking for someone to write a small C / C++ application to run within Microsoft VC++ 2008. I don't want this in MS Studio or anything big and complex, and NOT using MFC. I want to eventually compile this in Linux, so the GUI must be almost non existent. You can use any resource you can find online, either in OPEN source or FREE software if you want - makes no difference to me. All it needs to do is be a simple, single window with two buttons on it. Both buttons open the standard file browser where a file can be selected, and the file is loaded into memory. Both files must be able to be loaded in at the same time. These files do NOT need to be displayed - they just need to be loaded in a way that they can be manipulated at a binary level. The acceptable filetypes that can be loaded in on BUTTON 1 are as follows, and MUST be properly recognised using the correct file headers Graphical files : Bitmap BMP, JPG/JPEG, PCX, PDF, PNG, SWF, TGA Audio Files WAV, AIFF, MP3, MP4, FLV BUTTON 2 can load ANY filetype, and holds it in memory where it can be further manipulated. I want to be able to load and run the in VC++ 2008 as a Project with no messing about. Do not use weird proprietary libraries, remember this will eventually be compiled into LINUX, so the more pure C / C++ the better. All Code must be properly documented and commented - no weird obfuscation and constructs - plain obvious, easy to read code only.
