Please consider the following when considering my bid. I have made the following assumptuons:
- This is a residential development on private land
- Council (local government) has not requested this as part of a development application.
- This is not behind a retaining wall
- By "trench drain" you are referring to a "french drain" or "infiltration trench" with a subsoil drain in the base
- Bear in mind, the hydraulic capacity of this type of drain will be largely dependant on the size of the perforated pipe in the base of the trench
- I will need to know the site location
- I will need to know the soil types. i.e. silty sand, sand, silt, clay, etc.
There will be other inputs required also, but they will be based on the site location, topography, etc.
You will be provided with:
- digital sketches of cross section and plan (if survey is available) i.e. there will be no Titleblock on the plans to be supplied
- there will be no chartered engineer signoff
- liability for redesign is acceptable if approving authority objects to design solution
- liability for functionality of the design will be limited to the value of the engagement fee
