[Security] Analysis on an attack for a web server software - build algorithm/log

Assistance is required for a Network Security assignment. Looking for one that is capable of tracing and reproducing a particular attack done on a simple web-based shopping cart, create an algorithm (pseudo code/script/C/java/perl/PHP/etc), and (optionally) inspect and analyze using case based reasoning (CBR) working with log files and to build other solutions using CBR if time permits. A sample exploit and patch was found and provided. If you can, also for any application tool of your choice determine the traffic patterns, analyze and report findings Additional supportive material (Network Forensics, CBR, templates, sample code, etc.) will be provided upon request. The environment that the simulated shopping cart is running on must be a Windows x86 (32-bit) system (alternatively can set up cart/web server/OS in VMware also).
