The site- [login to view URL] will very be efficient in the design of its web site. It will appeal to almost all audiences and be user friendly. To do this, there will be clear and distinctive options; options showing where to sign up, forums, bands, etc. Our color scheme will be orange on black, blue, silver which is appealing because these colors compliment each other. There will be no complicated links leading our guests in circles. To be well organized we will have links directing people from one spot to another. This will be achieved by having different parts of the web site steering the people in the areas that will interest them. Eg. If a viewer is interested more towards the hip hop and pop cultural music this will be separated from the heavy metal and rock, thus giving our gusts a more enjoyable and entertaining experience. The “sign up” part of the page must be easy and understandable with very few complications because we don’t want anything restricting us from getting as many people to sign up as possible. The viewing portion of the site where viewers with be watching and listening to the bands will have most supporting video and audio players eg. (Quick time, windows media.) This portion of the site will be the most important, because this area is where the people will be most of the time; we must make it appealing to everyone and do our best not to offend anyone. In this main viewing page we call our “main page”, there will also be a place to vote. The system to vote will be a slider bar that starts at 5 and you have the choice to move left (bad) or right (good) depending on how much you like the band being featured. The biography portion of the site is to give the viewers some general information about the bands, eg. Names, locations, and how long the band has been together. The band must post pictures of them selves and if they want they may make a slide show along with their individual biographies. There will be a forum so people can post their thoughts about the featured band; our forum will act more like a chat room in the sense that you can have a conversation with another person without having to wait along time. One aspect we looked at is fan mail, so the fans have the opportunity to email the bands and tell them how much they love them; we could make the bands that sign up an email account. The problem with fan mail is hate mail there are always people that will be rude, but this is reality and we may have to deal with that. Along the sides and top of every page is where the ads and sponsors will be advertised the higher paying advertisers will get there ads in where the video plays. These will not be too flashy or annoying but they are going to make the money for the first stages of the site. The site must be compatible for us, so we may upload the video, audio and ads with out complication; our bank account must be connected to the site so the money from the ads goes straight into it with no complication we could do this via (adbrite). We need to be able to access all information, and be able to change things ourselves from any computer anywhere. The site must also be self run in the case of us not being able to manually update. For example, the bands that are being featured must rotate and change after their time. All the pictures have to be easily updated and changed with very little complication because we are trying to avoid frustration. One of the main goals is to make [login to view URL] user friendly and very appealing to the eye. [login to view URL] will be our main site, this is basically a directory for all of our other sites, the main site will have our advertising info, our biography etc, it will also have the same feel to all of our other sites.
