Phone Web Alert Utility Provided reference components: The PC version of this utility will be provided to the Service Provider as reference code and architecture, written in Visual Basic and utilising Windows API. Interface documentation, requirements and samples will be provided, but architectural changes and modifications can be freely suggested where it would improve and optimise. All architectural aspects will be vetted by Service Buyer before commencement. Required deliverables specification: The above component is required to be translated into a downloadable mobile cellphone based program, developed in J2ME, or similar cellphone cross platform development kit, for Java enabled phones, and/or Windows mobile interfaces or any other Java enabled Smartphone platform. Interface to the component as described below. Functionality: Requires web access functionality, parsing of webpage source file and string manipulation. Does not require image handling or displaying of entire webpage or any other ‘web browser’ functions. Store information in a flat file database such as XML, text file or any similar format, subject to best practice regarding speed issues. ‘Home’ screen will list information entered into database to drill down on selection. Provides users with time related alerts with sound and/or images. Additional non-compulsory functionality: PHP module or similar for website to allow download of utility to cellphones. Service Providers who can also provide this functionality can bid to the upper limit of given budget. Other Conditions: Non-disclosure Agreement of product functionality. Copyright and Intellectual Property remains entirely that of the Service Buyer. A high standard of work may guarantee continued repeat business. Must have good spoken & written English to provide daily updates regards progress and can provide similar work samples. ISO accredited companies or individuals will be regarded favourably, though not a requisite for acceptance.
