Add password and username feature to Java Based software

I have a database software built in Java and i need either a licence key system or username and password added to the software so that it cannot be shared or used by anyone who isnt licenced This is not a commercial software. I have websites so it could be possible to use a server to check for licensing or username and password. Or use a wordpress plugin to manager usernames or passwords in the software which runs on windows. I have all of the files and the source code. Please demonstrate you understand the project fully. Any generic replies or anyone who doesnt clearly demonstrate they understand this simple project will not be considered for the job or contacted.

It is not clear to me if a user enters a username and password that pass authorization on the server, then how he may not have a license if he knows his username and password for MySQL. And if all users enter the system with the same password and login, then how do you distinguish them from each other. I need a more detailed description of your task.
