We've built a cross-browser, cross platform video player that uses Longtail's JW Player, and simply need a bit of extra work done to take what we've built and bring it across the finish line. We only require three simple fixes (see below).
Some background:
We require a web-based video player that functions whether the Flash plugin is installed or not, with a playlist. Our player utilizes Flash with an HTML5 fallback with a JavaScript playlist. The player works on both Mac and PC in the latest versions of every major browser with or without the Flash plugin. The only scenario where it fails is with Internet Explorer without the Flash plugin.
What's required to complete the project:
1. Player must function in Internet Explorer without the Flash plugin.
2. The playlist must contain simple formatting:
a) In the HTML5 version, playlist items should be evenly spaced apart. Right now, playlist items use a fixed height. This means that if a list item appears on a single line or breaks onto a second line, the vertical height is the same. Instead, the space above and below list items should be uniform, regardless as to if the list item is on one line or two.
b) In the Flash version, playlist items should be evenly spaced apart (see above), chapter names should appear in bold, and the lesson titles should not be bold.
3. Change error text in the player when a video isn't found (the text that reads, "The video could not be loaded...")
We will provide our player and all related materials for you to apply the three above fixes to. Thanks for looking!
