If it's a simple annoying DoS attack then it surely will be tackled with IPTables, i will create the rules to block all outgoing packets and allow only incoming + MySQL service. But if it's a bandwidth based DDoS attack then i am afraid you will have to purchase an online premium service for DDoS Protection.

Hi. Frequently ddos can be stop using iptables but there are another ways for stop it; for example, if you're using apache, we can use mod_evassive. So, I proposes you, review carefully if you have some security hole or is just only aleatory ddos atack and, later, set up iptables, fail2ban and others. Open to questions. Best regards
