IOS application (And PHP backend) similar to a Feed Reader with a twist

Please apply if you have similar references. Please tell me if you have any recommendations for the implementation. -------- Below is a detailed description of the application and the backend. User Registration Users will register the app with their emails. Home Page User will see their notification wall. This wall will present all entries published in the topics user is registered to. Each entry in the notification wall will consist of an image, headline, description, topic name, and a button to visit the URL of the entry. User experience of the wall shall be similar to Facebook’s. As the user scrolls down, older items in the wall shall be loaded and visible. As the user pulls the screen down, or hits the refresh button, new entries in the subscribed topics shall be added at the top of the notification wall. In order to do this, application shall retrieve the new entries from the backend system for the subscribed topics. Every time a new entry is added on the back end system, user will also receive a push notification. Push notification will give an overview of the entry and when clicked will open the entry (or homepage where the entry is at the top) in the application. My Subscriptions User will see which topics (as a topic tree) he’s registered to. Each topic has an image on the left, and title and description on the right. User can cancel the subscriptions or create new subscriptions from this screen. New Subscription User can register new topics by selecting them from a list of available topics. List of available topics can be retrieved as a remote JSON file. Only the topics which the user is not already registered shall be presented in this screen. There should be no text embedded in the code. Application shall be designed in Xcode.
