Network Intrusion Detection System using Data Mining

*This is an scholar project so it doesn't has to be so formal, at least that when I run it I can see the requeriments, especially req No. 3 *This is a simulation so it doesn't have to be a real network.. I need to do a software prototype. The software should identifying known intrusions and their variations and anomaly/outlier detec-tion schemes for detecting novel attacks whose nature is unknown. This is the specs: 1. Performing anomaly detection, or uncommon traffic on the network, characterizing network traffic as common or unusual. 2. Must simulate an attack. 3. Must have usage profiles of users, specifying how they connect and how they use the network.
