I need someone to create an algorithm that will produce a daily calendar and show events in the proper time slots. The attached zip file contains an excel spreadsheet with event data that is returned from a stored procedure. The [login to view URL] file shows what the output should look like.
The algorithm should be in the form of a callable function that is passed the following parameters:
- Date - the date to be displayed
- CalStartTime - the earliest date to show on the calendar
- CalEndTime - the latest date to show on the calendar
- CalInterval - Values of 1 (Hourly), 2 (30 min) and 3 (15 min) indicate the intervals to be displayed for each time slot.
- CalIntervalColor - This is the color to be used for the time interval along the left hand side. in the example it's gray.
- CalIntervalLinkColor - Indicates the color of the link. The :00 and :30 are links. For this function they can link to nothing.
- CalBackgroundColor - Indicates the color of the calendar background. In this example it's light yellow.
- CalBorderColor - Indicates the border color of the calendar.
The algorithm basically needs to show each event in the appropriate timeslot. If the current column's timeslot is not available for the entire event, then the event should be displayed in a new column.
The solution must be cross-browser compatible with the latest versions of the following browsers:
- IE
- NS
- Safari
- Mozilla
- Opera
Please let me know if you have any questions.
