What is needed: An executable or active x control (hopefully crafted in VB), hereafter called the “download manager??, that will do the following: 1. A user purchase large audio files from a shopping cart online (over 100 megs). 2. Once purchase has been made, these large files need to be “pushed?? into a folder on the user’s desktop. These files use Microsoft’s DRM and are .wma files. Before they are downloaded from the location provided by the website, some form of security authentication will be sent through (in other words, a download key comes in from the website’s carts). 3. Download manager will sit in task bar (can also run in background, taskbar is option on install) and lets user monitor file download status, and alerts them when downloads are done, and ask them if they want to open new window. 4. Users may be downloading multiple files at once. Files should be placed in folders based on the description of the folder as provided by the website. 5. Download manager needs to be “branded?? with the company’s logo (ie in taskbar, install, etc). 6. Download manager will be sent the location of the download from the website, along with the DRM validation key. We needs the above ASAP (think June 1). What I’m looking for is someone who has already built something similar to this, and can modify the code quickly…think of it as a licensing deal. I’m not really looking to have this built from scratch since the timeline is so short, but I’m willing to listen to offers. Please provide an example of what you have built like this with a serious bid. For now, this download manager only has to work in windows 98-XP. Just so I can be clear, I need something run on a client machine that can communicate with the website once the order is placed and then it downloads the content on it’s own in the background.
