One of our clients got us to modify a free upload/download utility they found on the net. It was originally a php script but they had us convert it to ASP and then strip it down to do only allow people to upload and download files to it. Here are the two problems with it.
1. It won't show folders or directories just individual files. If the client logs in via FTP and creates a folder (in the media directory) it doesn't show up when the script is running on the web. It only shows files. We created two folders (sample and newfolder022211) and even though they are there when you log in via FTP they don't show in the script on the web.
2. If you click on any of the files you get a dialogue box to open or save the file which is great. The problem is that larger files give you an instant error message that says the file can't be found even though the file is clearly there.
I need to know if these two issues can be fixed with the current script and if so, how much and ETA? If not, what would it cost to replace with an identically functioning script?
If interested I can provide access to the site where the script is running which is currently password protected.
