1) SSI
HTML page with SSI that returns page hit count. This can be taken to different levels:
a) Single page hit counter as text.
b) Single page hit counter using images.
c) Multiple page hit counter (single server-side script) with text.
d) Multiple page hit counter (single server-side script) using images.
Note: extra distinctive marks will be given for SSI used to develop consistent multi-page layout and composition.
2) Javascript ??" implementing
Implement into a HTML page with a form (it is suggested you use your guestbook from assignment one) two input validation scripts using javascript:
a) Email input validation
b) Numeric input validation e.g. age that will require upper and lower limits.3)
Report
Using the headings below, illustrate your level of understanding of the scripts, the techniques and considerations used in your design and for your assignment solutions.
a) Server-side includes
i. SSI tags used
ii. Page hit counter
script (plus printout of the commented code). If multiple page hit counting is not implemented discuss script requirements.
iii. Briefly _outline_ the advantages and limitations of SSI(s)b) Client-side scripting. The following should include an annotated printout of the scripts and an outline of error capture and other considerations (even if not working).
i. Email input validation script
ii. Numeric input validation script
c) Clear and precise listing of URL addresses to the files and documents on the server (if I can not find them I can not mark them).
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
