Overview See the attached zip file for the complete specification and sample web pages. Blanksheet wishes to contract for the coding of Wiki software. While there are many existing pieces of Wiki software (see [login to view URL]), Blanksheet wishes to create a proprietary product with a specific set of features. The Blanksheet Wiki will allow the simplest possible installation, simply copying and running the distributed executable will be enough to start using the software. (Assuming the user has .Net installed.) We require that the software be coded in C# and run both under Microsoft Windows .Net 1.1 and Mono under Linux. Wiki Software The Wiki software is a web server which users interact with using a standard Web Browser. Users collaborate to create “topics?? with text, images and links entirely through the web browser interface. The basic functionality available on each page is as follows: • Display menu bar (Home, Index, Recent Changes, Search, New Topic). • Display topic name. • Display topic content. • Display edit bar (Edit topic, Upload Picture, Upload File, View topic history). An administrative interface will also be available through the web interface. The features available though this interface will include: • Create New Wiki • Backup Wiki • Restore Wiki • Enable Users • Create Users • Assign users roles in Wiki (Read Only or no limits) • Change Port The central function of the Wiki software is the displaying and editing of topics. Topics are stored in the database with a Wiki specific mark up language that is designed to be very simple for users to learn and use.
