WP site tune-up & tweak design for professional look.

We'd like a more professional look for our homepage of a motorsport (motorbikes and cars) website. It's a Wordpress based site and the overall theme/template is fine (though we're happy to listen to any suggestions) but the content sheet on the homepage does not look professional enough. You can use plugins, new graphics/photo work, content blocks, headers, custom post area for our news etc etc. We're open to all ideas. Type of content is there for you to see already. It's up to you to "wow" us. Homepage is http:[login to view URL] Everything on there is coded in html as we need (regular changes) so a better automated way of displaying dates, pictures, news etc welcome. Changes must not decrease the Page speed or Yslow results and in fact we want the latter improved (good css etc needed). Something like this: [login to view URL] works and suits better in our industry. We can point you to others than we like too. This is about re-design for professional look of the homepage content display only, rest of site works but if you can offer improvements we like then we will listen and can adjust bid accordingly if we like. We will set up a mirror copy site for you work on. May well lead to ongoing work contract running the site, especially if you can work in the event booking/ecommerce system.
