Description:
You will be part of a small team of developers creating a set of applications that will be used to handle data relating to sports events as they are happening. Data will be inputted through desktop applications which will then be used by many 3rd party websites.
Your role will be to take part in developing desktop applications to be used by MaxxAthlete to enter and update player profiles, as well as to develop a similar desktop application to keep track of player stats during games. Both of these applications will be used in the gym before and/or during the games.
Application/s will be deployed in gym's on a local network which may or may not have internet connection. If there is a connection the application should update the server on regular intervals. If there is no internet connection, or inability to connect with the server, the application should still collect data, but be able to store it on the machines hard drive until a connection to the server can be made.
You will be responsible for creating an efficient GUI that allows data to be input quickly and flawlessly. You will also be a part of designing and implementing the fault tolerant system to update the main server. These desktop applications need to be integrated with other projects, so keeping close contact with the rest of the team is important.
There are many pieces to this project, you may be asked to work on other pieces as the project continues. You should be willing and eager to see that the entire project is a success and be willing to help where needed.
