PhpList Integration with Zen Cart (457445)

**Overview of Project** We need a more advanced emailing list application for our newsletters. Zen Cart currently is the application that manages and maintains all primary information of names, email address, password and opt in/out for subscribers. The newsletter(s) will be set up with interest areas, these could be separate newsletters or attributes that we can use to filter certain customers. This project will be in two steps: **Step 1 - Evaluate what integration solution is best.** Options that should be considered include: 1. Modifying the existing OScommerce integration mod. 2. Using Zen Cart's in build phpBB integration as a basis of integration with phpList. 3. Creating a dbsync between two databases, therefore operating separately from both Zen Cart and phpBB. 4. Modifying only one side (Zen Cart or phpList) to avoid having to update both. This step will create a report of feasibility of each with the following headings: * Option Name * Description * Effort Involved * Risks * Dependencies * Features Included * Features Not Included * Licensing Issues * Recommendations **Step 2 - Implementation.** 1. Implementing the chosen option - based on a decision made by Scott. 2. Creating the design and look of the phpList application is incorporated into the rest of the website (phpBB, Mediawiki and Zen Cart) with the same colours, CSS style sheet, logo positioning and design. For full feature requirements please see the attached specification. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Firefox 1.0+ MS IE 5.0+ CSS validator.
