Joomla Intranet - Site Security Troubleshooting

We have an existing Corporate Intranet site for a client, built in Joomla 2.58. We have just noticed a security flaw that allows the public to view files without first logging into the intranet site. We need this troubleshooted and repaired. Upon request I will provide specific information about the security issue and how to replicate it via Private Message. I will provide joomla administration access and ftp access to the chosen provider. After the security flaw is fixed, we would like to discuss a separate freelancer project to upgrade this site to Joomla 3.2. Our previous programmer attempted to do the upgrade, but was unable to get the site template and all extensions to "play nice" with the upgrade, so we reverted back to the Joomla 2.58 version. Please note, I am looking for an excellent Joomla developer to work with on an on-going basis thru freelancer. My digital marketing & web development firm has been in business for 15 years and we have numerous clients. I do not wish to hire anyone full-time, but instead offer work project by project. Some projects are complete sites, some are rebuilds, some are template customization and some are site fixes and updates. If this interests you, please let me know.
