I have four or five msdos scripts I need converted over to eother Perl or Bash. These are very short scripts. Three of the scripts generates another script, the other two scripts look at a file and check for a specific string. After they are converted I would like a menu driven interface created so that it would perform specific tasks. IE...I run script. Menu pops up. Would you like to do a b c d e f g or h. I choose h. It asks for specific info and generates a text file to a destination that I desire with specific content. It should do error checking and test for errors in the input etc. It should be one script with a module and "skeleton stubs" with instructions on how to include additional modules should be included. Code needs to be well documented. These scripts will be run under perl / bash on a windows or unix setup.
