Problem: People who sell digital products face not only the issue of unauthorised use but other problems, for example I might sell the rights to a product only to find the person i sold it to is selling it on ebay for 2.50$ instead of 22.50$ as outlined in the resale terms. At the moment there is nothing I can do. Solution Develop a system that wraps around the exe, or pdf or mp3. I then issue a licence for the product. When the person i sell the program to runs it a server is checked to see if there licence is valid. If I find they have broken my terms the product can be deactivated remotely. I want to be able to use this software and then sell rights to it, so that other marketers can protect their products. I do have a php script at the moment that can issue licence numbers, and then people place a link on the site so that buyers can tell if they have a valid licence, so we might integrate this There are solutions like this already - I expect you to reseearh them and show what you can do. Please do not post "yes i can do it" I need to see real proof you can do this Payment My budget at the moment is small. However I am willing to strike a deal with the choosen programmer, (i reserve the right to close the project if I am not happy with the quality of information provided), where the programmer will earn a % commission on every full price sale.
